Vintage Araya 7X Style Rims 24” Wheelset W SR Sakae Hubs & Tires
Shipped in Canada and USA with UPS, tracking included
Selling a very nice condition 24 in size wheelset. Rims are aluminum, have no visible branding, but look exactly like Araya 7x or Sumo rims of the era. Not exactly sure what they are but will easily pass as 7X rims. Rims are very true, little to no scratches, no bad scuffs, damage or high spots. Very good shape clean rims in excellent lightly used condition
Both wheels have a matching set of SR Sakae sealed bearing hubs with nutted axles. Hubs are in nice condition, could just use a polish and clean to be near perfect. Both hubs spin well with no bearing play. Service history is unknown, would recommend a service to have them running perfect, but they are still perfectly fine as is. Axles are not bent or damaged, thread is good, axle nuts and washers are included and in good clean condition.
Spokes appear to be steel as several of them have some surface rust apparent. No missing or damaged spokes, spokes have relatively good tension as well
Both tires shown are included, along with 2 innertubes that hold air well. Front tire is an almost brand new Kenda K-rad Sport tire in 24 in size. Almost brand new tire with no cracks, wear, little to no signs of any use. Rear tire is an older ATB style thread gumwall tire original from the 1980s. Lots of thread left and sidewalls still good, in rider condition, some aging showing, still useable but no guarantees on it, it is a 40 year old or so tire of course
