Vintage Specialized Saturne HX28 Bronze Anodized 26” Wheelset W Specialized Hubs.

Very unique and rare made in Japan Saturne HX28 aluminum wheel set 26” anodized bronze color rims and Specialized branded wheel hubs, with Suntour 5 speed freewheel cog and Suntour spoke guard .
Was removed from a 1982 Specialized Stumpjumper as original equipment. Very little information to be found about this brand/wheel set online, but from what I have heard the wheels and hubs were made in Japan exclusively for Specialized. Not 100% sure about this though, but they are original to early 80s Specialized bikes
26” rims are in a very excellent condition. All original decals are intact and good condition, little to no scratches at all on them, quite clean too . No flat spots or dents, wheels spin 99% perfectly true. No brake pad wear to be seen
Spokes have very good tension, no rust visible on any spikes or spoke heads . No missing or damaged spokes
Suntour Maeda 5 speed freewheel cog is in excellent condition as well . No chain wear visible, could be cleaned up to look like brand new
Suntour plastic spoke protector also in very good condition, could use cleaning but no damage
Specialized branded wheel hubs both spin very smooth with no play at all . Very good quality hubs and working great considering service history is unknown. Would recommend possibly a service to have them spinning perfect, but no issues using them as is either . Both hubs very nice condition and would look like new with a bit of cleaning/polish. Axles in great condition, no bends, no thread damage, included is all 4 original lug nuts with built in washers, in great shape no damage . Light surface rust specks visible on some axle as wheel nuts, but would clean up easily. Overall the wheelset is in very good condition for its age, spins very true, and could be used right away if needed !
Very nice hard to find rare wheelset for a vintage Specialized build, or old school 80s MTB, ATB, Klunker etc
